As a lawyer and small business owner for the last 25 years, Mike has seen just how much business owners in our District, and the state, have suffered in recent years. That’s why Mike supports measures to retain and bring business back to the District. Mike will embed a permanent small business liaison in his office to help people start small businesses, obtain needed financing and tax credits, and ultimately to grow and sustain those businesses. Mike will aggressively work to encourage media, art, entertainment, music, and event production to stay in, and return to, the District. With the Olympics on the horizon, Mike believes that we have a tremendous opportunity to harness international support for local businesses. He supports the creation of good paying jobs through economic development zones and will work to create a business, sports, and entertainment corridors throughout the District.
