Housing. Now.
Homelessness is unacceptable, period. No human being should have to live on the streets or in a vehicle, and no community should have to live with encampments or RVs in front of their homes and businesses. Mike joins the Governor in calling for the enforcement of anti-camping ordinances state wide and will immediately help people to get off the streets by offering shelter and prioritizing mental health, detox, and addiction services, particularly through the CARES Court system. Equally important in solving homelessness is aggressively streamlining the building process to create housing, particularly in urban infill sites and by adaptively reusing existing but under-occupied buildings where appropriate.
