As someone who is regularly in our ocean and as the father of two boys who spend a lot of time on our beaches, Mike knows how important our coastal resources are. This District boasts the coast from Malibu to Palos Verdes and some of the top tourist destination in California. We have big and beautiful beaches with tremendous opportunities for protection and recreation. But, Mike also knows that our beaches can be difficult to access, dirty and under-maintained. Often, he believes that we utterly and inexplicably fail to protect sensitive areas of our beaches and oceans. Mike supports common sense initiatives to make the coastline more accessible for residents while protecting our precious coastal resources and creating more opportunities for existing businesses to thrive along our beachfront communities and to be part of preserving our natural heritage.
